One of our very most popular Sambro Sou'Wester Days events is the Closing Fireworks display, which is scheduled for Sunday, August 13th at 9:45pm
Costs for everything are up, and this year's pyrotechnics will cost over $8,600.
Because the fireworks are held in a Provincial Park, we cannot charge admission. Although we collect freewill donations at the gate, it doesn't come close to covering the cost. This takes a huge bite out of our fundraising efforts towards a future community centre, two scholarships, a mobility accessible fishing wharf and picnic area at Grand Lake, and various other community initiatives.
James Gray Fishers and Seaside Seniors Home Care Services have generously offered their sponsorship support, and we're inviting individuals and corporate sponsors to come forward and help us out. For contributions of $500 or more, you will be recognized as an event sponsor in our social media and promotional materials both prior to, during and after the festival.
